Some twenty companies of the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic or of the Cluster of Advanced Materials have participated in the intercluster session organized by the two clusters, to create a dialogue and knowledge transfer between the two sectors heading towards innovation.
Two companies of the nautical cluster, Daevi and De Antonio Yachts, have presented their needs to improve their products to the companies that develop advanced materials.
Among other needs, Daevi has explained his willing to make the MaxPro protective layer fireproof, and Nautiel has offered flame retardant products that are used for example in curtains and fabrics of the boat to comply with safety regulations.
De Antonio Yachts, meanwhile, is looking for a color gelcoat, durable against UV rays and metallized, to apply directly to the mold of the fiberglass yachts, and not have to paint them. In this case, interesting contacts have been established with a company that can be a supplier.
The meeting has been a success for the transfer of knowledge that has been achieved between the two sectors, so the Cluster Nàutic will try to organize similar sessions with other clusters of interest.
