The 61st edition of the Saló Nàutic was held this year between 11 and 15 October at the Port Vell organized by the Fira de Barcelona, a partner of the Cluster. This year the America's Cup has been the protagonist of the activities, designed to bring the event closer to the public.
Inclusion, sustainability and the blue economy have been the main threads of the activities that have been carried out and in which several partners of the cluster have participated, such as the Port Olímpic, the Federació Catalana de Vela, the Port of Barcelona or the Fundació Barcelona Capital Náutica. Alinghi Red Bull Racing has also actively participated as a competitor of the America's Cup, with a large exhibition area among others.
The president of the Cluster, Marcelo Penna, was present to talk about sustainability and innovation focused on the importance of promoting Catalonia as a global hub in the decarbonization of boats in collaboration with shipyards. He was accompanied by Albert Ballbé from Acció, Gemma Pagès from Zephyr Boats and Ignacio Armengol from the Fundación Barcelona Capital Náutica.
