The Barcelona Clúster Nàutic and the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to strengthen sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness in the nautical sector in Barcelona and Catalonia. The agreement establishes a stable public-private cooperation framework with the aim of transforming the sector and positioning Barcelona as an international benchmark in sustainable blue economy.
The agreement defines four strategic pillars that will guide joint actions over the coming years: decarbonization and transformation of the value chain, through the promotion of technological innovation projects; training and talent development, with special focus on young and female talent; international projection of the sector through UNESCO's Decade of the Ocean; and strengthening the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic as a key player in the Mediterranean region.
Through this alliance, both entities reaffirm their commitment to a more sustainable, innovative development model for the nautical sector, aligned with the major global challenges of the blue economy, promoting cooperation among companies, institutions, and knowledge centers to advance towards a more competitive and resilient nautical sector.
