Barcelona Clúster Nàutic took part in the Fisheries Sustainability Hackathon, organised by GALP Costa Central and held at the Barcelona Fishermen’s Guild, bringing together fishers, entrepreneurs, students, researchers and professionals from different fields to co-create innovative solutions for the future of the fishing sector.
The event focused on addressing key challenges through the use of new technologies to increase the value of fish products and reduce administrative burdens within the sector. By encouraging collaboration across the blue economy ecosystem, the hackathon aimed to identify ideas capable of generating a tangible impact and accelerating the transfer of innovation and knowledge to the fishing industry.
For Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, participating in initiatives such as this reinforces our commitment to open innovation, cross-sector collaboration and the development of sustainable solutions that strengthen the competitiveness of the maritime and blue economy ecosystem.
