The Barcelona Nautical Cluster attended Marina Vela’s first superyacht maintenance workshop.
The workshop offered practical training and live demonstrations to address real-life maintenance situations on luxury yachts.
The session included specialised modules on different aspects of superyacht maintenance:
• Teak: how to carry out teak deck maintenance and minor repairs.
• Protection: measures to protect surfaces during refits and maintenance works.
• Painting: maintenance of coatings for crew members.
The companies TDS, Nautiel and Boero led the sessions, sharing practical knowledge and expert solutions. It is worth noting that Nautiel and Boero are Cluster members, reinforcing collaboration between member companies and professionals in the sector.
This first workshop confirms the importance of applied and specialised training in the superyacht sector, providing tools and hands-on experience that enhance crew operational capabilities and onboard maintenance quality.
