Vanessa Guadamud, Project Manager at Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, took part in this initiative promoted by Barcelona Capital Nàutica to explore new business opportunities and foster international collaboration.

Last week, Vanessa Guadamud, Project Manager at Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, took part in a business mission to the Netherlands focused on the Catalan nautical sector, as part of the project to support the development of new markets promoted by Barcelona Capital Nàutica.

The initiative gave participating Catalan companies the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the Dutch nautical ecosystem through visits to leading companies and key industry stakeholders. The aim was to deepen their understanding of the market, identify new business opportunities and establish contacts that could lead to future collaborations.

The mission placed particular emphasis on decarbonisation, sustainability and innovation — strategic areas for the development of the nautical sector, where the Catalan and Dutch ecosystems share challenges and opportunities. The exchange of knowledge and experiences between companies and stakeholders from both regions opens the door to joint projects and new synergies.

The initiative was supported by ACCIÓ and Catalonia T&I Nederland, and provided an opportunity to strengthen the international profile of the Catalan nautical sector and establish new avenues for cooperation with one of Europe’s leading nautical ecosystems.

Through its participation in this mission, Barcelona Clúster Nàutic continues to work to connect companies and stakeholders across the sector, foster innovation and promote new opportunities for international collaboration.
