Barcelona Maritime Museum is a local public body formed by the City Council, which owns the building, Barcelona Provincial Council, which is the owner of the museum, and the Port Authority of Barcelona.
Created in 1993, the museum aims to ensure the conservation and restoration of the heritage property housing the Drassanes Reials shipyards, as well as providing services linked to the Museum.
