Founded in 2004, Nova Bocana Barcelona obtained in 2006 the concession for the management, development, construction and operation of the “Special Plan for the Nova Bocana of the Port of Barcelona”, granted by the Port Authority of
Barcelona, through the construction of a hotel, the W Barcelona, an underground car park and the urbanisation of the surroundings. The company also collaborates in activities related to high-level competition ocean sailing,
such as the Barcelona World Race, through the FNOB.
