From April 3 to 5, Barcelona Clúster Nàutic was present at the Barcelona Electric Marine Show, a key event in the field of electrification and decarbonization of the nautical sector, organized by Port Olímpic.
The event brought together leading companies and innovative initiatives focused on electric propulsion, energy efficiency, and new technologies applied to maritime mobility. In this context, the Cluster’s director, Claudia Parera, moderated a technical interview with Carlos Freire, an expert consultant on lithium batteries and marine onboard systems, and a Cluster member.
The conversation provided insight into the current state and future perspectives of lithium batteries, highlighting their benefits, limitations, and specific applications in the nautical sector. A key opportunity to continue promoting innovation and commitment to more sustainable boating.
