Barcelona Clúster Nàutic took part in the presentation of the CASFEM project, represented by its Project Manager, Vanessa Guadamud. The event was held at Marina Vela Barcelona, one of the Cluster’s member companies, and brought together industry stakeholders to showcase an innovative solution for the electrification of recreational boating.
After 15 months of collaborative work, the CASFEM project successfully concluded with the validation of a wireless charging system for electric boats, combining wireless power transfer technology with large-scale additive manufacturing. The initiative aims to contribute to a safer, more efficient and more sustainable maritime mobility.
One of the highlights of the event was the live demonstration of the wireless charging system in a real nautical environment, followed by a sea trial that validated the prototype under operational conditions.
Led by Magnetika, V2 Group, Light Mobility Cluster and Clúster MAV, with the support of ACCIÓ, the project demonstrates the value of cross-sector collaboration in developing innovative technologies that support the electrification and decarbonisation of the maritime industry.
