Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, in collaboration with the Barcelona Capital Náutica Foundation and Barcelona Activa, organized a key event for the future of the nautical sector in Catalonia, aiming to analyze current and future training needs within the framework of recreational boating decarbonization.
The meeting, held at the Foundation’s headquarters, brought together representatives from leading public and educational institutions such as the Barcelona City Council, the Department of Education of the Generalitat, various educational consortia, and training centers linked to maritime activities and port logistics.
During the session, a strategic reflection was carried out on how to guide professional training to respond to the ecological transition of the nautical sector.
The activity served to share existing training initiatives, identify emerging needs, and agree on three priority lines of action: promoting vocations in sustainable boating, redefining professional profiles, and implementing a communication strategy to disseminate progress.
This collaborative work session is part of a broader process that will continue on May 30 with a new #BlendedLearningABordo session, combining onshore and onboard sailing activities, aimed at deepening strategic actions and fostering collective intelligence to face the challenges of the blue economy.
