On March 5th, Barcelona Clúster Nàutic hosted the webinar “Benefits of AI in the Nautical Sector,” a session led by Manu Monasterio, an ESADE professor specializing in artificial intelligence and the metaverse in immersive marketing.
The presentation highlighted how artificial intelligence is already part of our daily lives and explored its applications in the nautical industry. Key benefits discussed included safer and more efficient navigation, predictive maintenance, optimization of fuel consumption, crew safety and management, enhanced passenger experience, AI in boat design, improved efficiency and productivity, and other areas relevant to innovation and competitiveness in the sector.
